About Us

At the Birthday Box we only choose the products we really love. We do the research for you to come up with really lovely, quality gifts for your children and babies. For this reason we only carry a small number of products, although we are always looking to expand our selection with beautiful and unique toys and gifts. Where possible we choose fair trade items and items that encourage learning through play, although sometimes just because they are FUN!

We have a particular interest in products and activities that encouarge engagement with nature and the environment and are currently developing this under the heading of 'Ecobuddies'. In todays world our childrens are spending less and less time in direct contact with nature and this has been linked to behavioural problems at home and in our schools, an area of ongoing research. We will be updating our blog with product reviews and activities so please do have a look.
